Extended Gaze (2010)
'Extended Gaze' is an experimental portraiture project employing video. It challenges the conventional perception of the human face in portraiture, introducing an element of interaction between the model and the viewer via the intense gaze in a moving image. While video is commonly used for capturing movement, 'Extended Gaze' employs video instead to enhance stillness.
'Extended Gaze' was featured in the 3rd year DIT photography group show 'Full Spectrum' in May 2010, in Mill Street Gallery, Dublin.
